Arfan officially joins Taxco Solution as a Senior Partner after completing 30 years of distinguished service at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT). His extensive background provides him with a comprehensive understanding of tax policies, regulations, and practices, both domestically and internationally.
Throughout his career at the DGT, Arfan was trusted to lead various Tax Services Offices (KPP) as well as DGT Regional Offices (Kanwil) in East Jakarta and Sulawesi. He also held the prestigious mandate of Secretary of the DGT from 2015 to 2019.
This vast experience enriches his expertise in tax policy and administration, compliance strategies, tax risk management, corporate tax governance, institutional relations and fiscal policy, and tax administration reform.
His academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is also an alumnus of the Advanced Diploma Program (Diploma IV) in Finance, specializing in Accounting, from the State College of Accountancy (STAN).
During his tenure at the DGT, Arfan spearheaded numerous strategic international assignments. Among these, he led the Transfer Pricing Conference in Japan and served as the Head of the Tax Amnesty Socialization Team in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Furthermore, Arfan played a key role as a member of the Tax Reform Program Team, the Joint Audit Committee of the DGT and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), and various other strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening tax administration.
Arfan is also an Honorary Member of the Indonesian Tax Consultants Association (IKPI), further solidifying his credibility and contribution to the advancement of the tax consulting profession in Indonesia.
