Arfan joined Taxco Solution as Senior Partner after completing 30 years of service at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT). His extensive experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of tax policy, regulations, and practices in both domestic and international contexts.
During his career at the DGT, Arfan was entrusted with leading several Tax Offices and DGT Regional Offices in East Jakarta and Sulawesi. He also served as Secretary of the DGT from 2015 to 2019.
This experience deepened his expertise in tax policy and administration, compliance strategies, tax risk management, corporate tax governance, institutional relations and fiscal policy, and tax administration reform.
Arfan holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He also graduated from the Diploma IV Program in Finance, specializing in accounting, at Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara (STAN).
While serving at the DGT, Arfan led several strategic international assignments, including a transfer pricing conference in Japan and the team responsible for Tax Amnesty outreach in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Arfan also served as a member of the Tax Reform Program Team and the Joint Audit Committee of the Directorate General of Taxes and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, alongside other strategic assignments aimed at strengthening tax administration.
He is also an Honorary Member of the Indonesian Tax Consultants Association (IKPI), further strengthening his credibility and contribution to the development of the tax consulting profession in Indonesia.
